Established in 1925, Teamster Local 814 is a proud affiliate of the NYC Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO and the NY State Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York. This proves to be important for two reasons: we are able to gain permission to work in every single building in New York City; and if your project includes a union construction site, harmonious trade relations are guaranteed. Because we are the only commercial moving union in New York City that is affiliated with these two organizations, we are thus the only union that can assure you of a smooth relocation, free from building and construction complications.
New York City’s Comptroller’s Office also acknowledges Teamster Local 814 wage and benefits package as the “prevailing wage” for New York City. Finally, all teamster employees are vetted, assuring our clients that only skilled professionals who average over 10 years of experience, are working in your office.
