In the fall of 2016, the Globe team was excited to continue to build our strong partnership with the Barclays Center after we moved the Islanders’ historic organ to its new home in Brooklyn. The organ represents the perfect combination of the old and the new; a new arena, but with the same old “sound” that fans have grown to love over the years.  Globe Teamsters were able to move the organ just in time for the Islanders’ inaugural season at their new home.  The organ is instrumental to the hockey experience, and as COO of Barclays Center Fred Mangione explains, what may seem like “something small,” it is actually a large component to the Islanders organization.  Check out the Pix 11 spotlight video on the move; we were excited to play our role in giving fans the same old sound they have always known and loved!
