COVID-19 Safety

To Our Valued Clients & Prospective Clients,

During this unprecedented time, Globe is firmly committed to the health and safety of our clients and of our employees. Since our inception, providing superior moving and storage service has remained the cornerstone of our business, and the threat of COVID-19 will not stop our commitment to you during this challenging time. In order to accomplish this, we have developed the following comprehensive safety plan to ensure a safe and efficient operation as you return to work.

Globe will regularly be providing our entire team with the most up-to-date information from city, state, and federal agencies, in order for them to have a thorough understanding of how COVID-19 spreads, its symptoms, and best practices to protect both themselves and others around them.

Globe is providing all team members with their own Personal Protective Equipment, which include facemasks and gloves. Hand sanitizer is also being provided, and all team members are instructed to wash their hands as often as possible, as well as properly (soap & warm water for at least 20 seconds).

Globe will be conducting daily safety briefings for any workers that will be on-site. These daily safety briefings will be conducted before the team enters the job site. They will consist of hands-free temperature checks, as well as a simple questionnaire to verify that a crew member has not been potentially exposed to the virus. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, or who is displaying the symptoms of COVID-19, will be sent home immediately.

Additionally, all team members are instructed to maintain a distance of 6 feet apart when entering loading docks, elevators, stairs and other shared spaces; and the number of Globe team members on freight elevators will be limited to two at a time. All workers are being discouraged from gathering or overcrowding rooms during breaks or meetings. Additionally, breaks will be staggered and all workers are being encouraged to bring food and beverages from home – to minimize additional exposure to the community.

To reduce the amount of reusable equipment, Globe is suspending the use of plastic crates and mobile carriers – only disposable cardboard boxes will be utilized. All shared equipment and shared surfaces on-site will be continually wiped down with disinfectant wipes. Equipment will also be disinfected when it returns to our warehouse, and truck cabs will be disinfected daily at the end of the day.

Globe is committed to keeping everyone safe and healthy, and we are confident that these unprecedented times will not alter our level of service and professionalism. Additionally, we recognize the importance of aligning our safety plan with yours – if there are any additional safety measures that you would like us to implement, please let us know.
